Well I just had my best week since starting here. I just finished the week with 3635 miles, and that's on E logs. I really have nothing negative to say about Abilene, they have plenty of Freight and keep me rolling and the leave me alone and let me do my job without trying to micromanage me. Give me my miles, put me in good equipment, and leave me alone and I'm a happy camper.

Sitting in Mt Vernon, Illinois taking a break and trying to get my sleep schedule back on track. All week I have had to run all night and sleep during the day ( which is next to impossible for me ). I got empty in Earth City, Mo. and got a call from dispatch offering me a choice of 3 different loads coming out of Pella windows in Murray Ky. Two were going to Texas and one to Iowa. I chose a two stopper going to Dallas. Last time I took that load I picked up a load in Dallas going back to Chesapeake, Va. Hopefully I will get the same load again.
I should finish the week with another 3200+ week. Im staying out three weeks this time so I can take three days off next weekend so I can fly out of Richmond to Houston for a wedding next wend. Have been staying busy and productive. -
RunningMan sounds like you are doing very well, how long do they expect you to stay out or is it each drivers choice.
looks like I will be joining you and SD at Abliene in Jan. -
The last 2 wks have been the same as you 3,800+,and 3,950 this week running the I-80 mid west area to and from Richmond with 34hr restarts at home. Heading out Sunday for WI.
runningman0661 Thanks this. -
They say 10/14 days out, but I know guys who get home weekly. I choose to stay out for longer periods, but not forced to.

I live close to Richmond, and since May I have reset my hours only twice away from home both while doing Boars Head loads that picked up on Friday and delivered on Monday. I do request time off just to make sure I get home for special occasions otherwise it just works out that way. The down side of not staying out is not being dispatched to western states yet. Three dispatches to Laredo Tx are the longest runs Ive had. I hate those night runs being a poor daytime sleeper myself.

Hey scooter, when you're on the way back to richmond do you get off in troutville and take 460 into richmond? I see a lot of those trucks running through bedford and since I live right on 460, I've probably seen your ride. I start cdl training in roanoke on the 7th of jan and from what I've heard, abliene is on the top of my list of places to apply.
runningman0661 Thanks this.
