Anyone ever drive a Freightliner
114SD? (Link below)What a piece of crap! Very poor cab configuration. There's a hump in the back of the cab all the way across and so it's very hard to lay things like your cooler, luggage and maybe a milk crate for misc. The fire extinguisher is in the middle of the floor instead of left of seat. The seated has to be bottomed out in order to see out the window when you have a Wrangler on your headrack.
Instead of having a warning alarm inside the cab for forgotten matters it utilizes the truck horn so the whole world is watching. How dumb!!
I pulled into the Delta terminal to have some work done last week. Parked next to a Western Star daycab that happened to be vacant. They handed me the keys. What a difference! No complaints.
Only difference is that there are no pockets behind the cab and so you simply have to back the vehicle back a little further.
My other truck had 80,000 miles. This one has 140,000.

We've had a couple of those over the years. Gotta sit over the wheel like a bus driver to see the gauges, and that floor sucks so bad.

My 1st truck was a '82 WS 4964, and brother, it was no Freightliner. Today, I believe they are made by Freightliner and might not gain much.

WS has been owned by Daimler for 25 years already. Daimler's owned FL for nearly 20 years longer than that.
