Had an uneventful drive North and made it to the customer 5 minutes early. I really wish it had been daytime while I drove up there. I already had a load headed to Nashville Tn delivering Wednesday morning at 05:00. Since I had an empty tank I decided to take 68 up to our Karns City terminal. I had only been there a couple of times. The road in is real hilly comming off of I-80. Other drivers had told me it was worse down 68. I wanted to see for myself. They were right but its really no problem empty. I went the long way around loaded the next morning.</p><p><br /></p><p>I shut down for the night in Franklin Ky about 65 miles from my delivery point. Got up the next morning and my truck wouldn&#039;t crank. It was a cooler night so I hadn&#039;t idled. I did leave my cooler on but that has never drained the battery before. It made me about an hour late. Fortunately they backed me right in and here I sit waiting for the lab to approve my load. I just got a tank wash message for High Point so I guess they are sending me home. Looks like that breakdown may keep me from getting home today if they don&#039;t get me unloaded by 10:00 AM.
