I'm going to go with the popular and classic line,"She probably had a medical emergency."

    Hmm...

He saved her from the burning car, but was he properly parked to begin with? He was parked on the road filling tanks behind 4187 Armington Road. You can see from the above picture that the truck is taking up at least half the lane. Did he have appropriate warning devices out? There is a driveway at that address; why did he not park in it?

Not all residential areas especially in the northeast part of the country are going to have room to accommodate a fuel truck so they have to run hoses from the truck to the house while the truck is parked on the side of the road. Add the fact that there may be a soft shoulder in that area so the truck may have had no choice but to sit partially on the road itself.

A lot of driveways only have 2in of blacktop or non at all. I'm sure they would love it if the truck backed in and wrecked it

    mjd4277 Thanks this.

The truck was halfway in the roadway. If the shoulder can support the fire truck, it can support the fuel truck.

Except the fire truck is sitting like that as a necessity to seal off the accident scene. A lot of property owners wouldn’t take too kindly to fuel trucks sitting like that fire truck damaging their lawn, especially if they’re hauling hazmat.Big difference.
