Fury as another airline introduces costly new fee

Airline tickets are just like buying concert tickets nowadays, added charges everywhere after the fact. They need to gut both those industries way of pricing and force them to roll out one fee.

Here's the cost, it includes everything, pay it or don't, end of story.

 

Air travel in Canada is a joke. Its cheaper to fly halfway around the world than halfway across the country.

 

You can thank Spirit Airlines and some other “low cost” carriers for this BS. Ever since Spirit started doing that à la carte method for charging fares, other airlines has started doing that “me too” approach!

 

You see this trend with everything now. Resort fees that you MUST pay in Vegas started with two hotels, now they all do it, often more than the hotel price itself. Doesn’t matter if you use their resort. I cannot believe legally they get away with it. They’ll also show you a lower airfare now but when you go to pick the return flight, it’s 35% more unless you want an eight hour layover in an airport along the way.

I had to fly to Whitehorse a few years back Air Canada. I had a small tool box that was very heavy a backpack with some clothes and a plastic tote with parts and manuals also heavy. I was charged $25 for the first item $25 for the second and $100 for the third. Before I made the return trip home I went to a hardware store and bought a big plastic tote and put all my gear in it.
