GA impacted by Florida-bound 'Mega Load'

Nice little load. Looks like groups of 4 dual wheels and tires under there, so 34K each?

 

They don't have near the problems those companies did that hauled equipment through the Pacific Northwest heading for the oil sands in Alberta, Canada. They had to widen roads, strengthen bridges and a lot of other complications. They got it done though. Now those oil sands will be pumped to the Gulf Coast of Texas to be refined and exported. China will buy most of it. Thousands of American jobs will be created to manage & operate the pipeline and refineries.

 

I don't think any of the "mega loads" destined for Imperial's Kearl Lake mine made it as originally designed. Thirty-three mega modules were cut down to create 75 super-loads. Their transportation snafu cost tens, if not hundreds, of millions of dollars extra. Mind you, Kearl Lake is a $23 billion dollar project, so what's a few million here or there?

First Nation peoples shouldn't have been so hard headed and they could have reaped the benefits, if I remember correctly.
