Some of the best gaming scenery comes for RDR2...for me at least. Instantly one of my favorites. The story was really good

How many times did you play it?

I haven't been able to play RDR2. Because I only own it on PS5 and PC. PS5 I no longer own. Then on PC it crashes at launch
BlueDuck1883 Thanks this. -
That stinks. I was using an old PS4 when I first got RDR2. It was so good, I went out and got a PS5 just for it. Best money I'd spent in a long time.

I've only done 3 or 4 playthroughs because I'm a completionist and even though I say not this time, I still gotta do it 100%. Chap 2 and 3 are my faves as those are the exploring ones.BlueDuck1883 Thanks this.

Thought thinking about it. I don't think I have tried to launch RDR2 on my current PC build. Mostly because my home time I'm running Microsoft Flight Simulator

I play DayZ on console in my truck when I have down time. It's the only game I like currently.

I've recently started a new way of playing this. (without posting any spoilers), I've skipped all the side missions and stranger encounters until ch. 6. Then made a separate save just after "My Last Boy." After Sadie and Arthur do their last mission at Hanging Dog together. Then finished the game and got into the epilog.
Then in the separate save, I took Arthur and his two horses out to hanging dog, where he has retired. Never to return to the cave. I saved most of the challenges, rock carvings, treasure hunts, Albert Mason and sooooo much more for Arthur to do.
And in the epilog, those same things are available for John. It's pretty cool watching John meet with Francis Sinclair. Or deal with Callaway and his Arthur (Plato, as he calls him

)
Somethings I had to do was initiate a few things before the epilog. Otherwise they disappear. Like if you don't teach the widow how to shoot, when Marston shows up in the epilog, we find her dead.
Having the freedom to do things differently, in every play through, is what makes this a lifetime game.wulfman75 Thanks this. -
If you do try it, I suggest you stick with it. Because for most people (me included), there's a hump you have to get over. A lot of folks quit playing before they get over that hump. For some, it's ch. 1. For others that hump may not come until after your first complete play through.
My first playthrough, ch. 1 was a struggle. Trying to pay attention to the dialog, look at the amazing scenery and learn the controls, all at the same time, left me stuck and frustrated.
A couple of times I missed some instructions on how to use the wheel, and I'm standing beside my horse trying to find something, and the guy is hollering at me to hurry. -
Is it on Steam?
