Many factors figure into this. But a "ball park" answer is 500 miles and this is a conservative answer. You might do better. Why don't you go and fill it up, load the truck with the typical load that you will be hauling, run 300 miles, stop, fill it up again and get your calculator out and figure the mileage. Bingo, you got it!!

Hi dnice( Denise?) Sounds like a rental truck, and has 2-50 gallon tanks( I doubt 2-100's) No fuel gauge? Since it's a small truck, it will get better than a semi, which average about 7-8 mpg. I doubt you'd get 10mpg, but use 8 to be safe. I'd say, at around 700 miles, I'd start looking.

Nobody can give you anything other than a very vague estimate. Way, WAY too many factors in determining fuel economy.

Hi Dnice......So, in trucking, it's refered to "fuel" not gas, and it's a "Cummins" engine, not a "Cummings". So I would guess you have a 26 ' straight truck which will probably get around 8-9 mpg. Are you new to the Biz ? Don't be a stranger !
