    According to drivewyze.

Now you follow the electronic signs.

Yeah they have bypass signs and just pull the ones they want.

To be honest, I get the bypass more often with the new signs than I ever did with PrePass. Maybe the new sign smell hasn't worn off yet.

Their usual pattern was to run PrePass on "all trucks in" until they caused a fatality accident with the ramp backing up, usually at the I-75 SB Ringgold scale. Then they'd get more generous with the green light for a month or so.

If a backed up ramp will cause me to have to slow below 35mph before I'm completely off the highway, then I bypass it. I haven't been stopped for it yet, but I'm going to play the safety card if it ever happens.

I am sure the Georgia motor carrier compliance officers will see it your way.

I'm not quite that loose with my bypass policy, but I won't stop if they're out to the end of the ramp.

I'm not getting hit in a travel lane, or having the next flip flop foot on the dash guy come smashing into me at highway speed bc I'm last in line at the edge.

Which state is it that has signage directing truckers to bypass scales if traffic has the Off ramp full beyond a certain point? Georgia isn't it? It was Georgia several years ago where there was a death because of trucks stopped in the road trying to get into the stupid slow axzed scales.

    stwik Thanks this.

Tennessee. North Carolina has sensors that will close the scale when the ramp gets full.
