Title is giving the gist, I do hold my Class A but was terminated from my first job because of an accident 2 months into starting this career path. Tried to get another job but it was basically impossible with not much experience and a very recent accident. I was hearing a lot of "1 year preventable incident free" with all the companies I was calling so I decided to work my old job for around a year or so. Fast forward to current day and it still seems impossible to get a job driving a dry van.

Information that may help you all help me

    Graduated Dec 23'
1 at fault accident within the past 5 years
1 moving violation within the past 5 years
Class A Holder, No Restrictions, No Endorsements
    Located in Missouri
Completely willing to do OTR, I'd just like to get back into the industry

    austinmike Thanks this.

You may want to also look into oilfield work. Most aren’t hiring like back in 2011, but there are jobs.

Try the food service companies in your area. They're usually more lenient. Any type of interstate transportation job is going to be tough to get with a less than perfect record when we're in a recession. Carriers get pickier because they're slow. When they're in need during a better economy they lower their standards to get more drivers quickly.
