I am in Las Vegas, and I have scouted the 3 schools here. AIT, SW Trucking and AGS Consultants.

AIT and SW are mills that cram 4 students in a truck for 4 hours a day and you get MAYBE 45 minutes a day seat time. AGS has ono-on-one driving for 8 hours. After considering the other aspects of the schools, I want to go to AGS.

All 3 are state approved and they all do the testing themselves.

I have an appointment with Bridge Counseling in late August to apply for grant money. The schools said that in addition to the things Bridge wants to see when I go (DMV printout, ID papers, etc), it would be good to also have any prehires I can get. (Bridge Consulting did not tell me this, the schools did.)

I did the apps with Werner, Swift, PanWestern, Knight (Squire) and a couple others. The problem is that when the companies called me, they told me that they only send prehires to schools 'on their list' and that AGS is not one of them.

My question is about Bridge Consulting. Anyone know if they do, indeed, require prehires? I mean, the school is state and DMV approved. I really need the grant money, but I really don't want to go to AIT or SW. I tried calling Bridge, but the lady that answers the phone was unfamiliar with policy, and you can't talk to an administrator without an appointment.

    Thanks,
    Michael
