Most if not all training is accredited by the state no matter what company offers the training....PTI etc

If he worked there for any length of time, he would have employment records and not have to worry about the cert.

Employment records do not stipulate what training you have.

I would think that if you still owe them money your going to be hard pressed to get your certificate from them.

If he wants that piece of paper , he has to pay off the loan .

Unless he has dirt on someone , then black male would work too.
I am assuming , no dirt. Lol

Depending on who he applied at or is thinking about . He may not even need it.

    aileigh Thanks this.

Thanks everyone for the input. Sorry I have not been back on in a few - our first child graduated and with everything else going on, I haven't been on here. I am putting up an update in case anyone runs into this same issue in the future.

My husband and I were planning on paying off the loan (and we did), that was neither here nor there, but we needed something immediate to show his potential employer that he did do a classroom training program, rather than just learning to drive in uncle Buck's truck on the farm. They waived the requirement of 2 years' experience due to this verifiable training and because my husband is a volunteer firefighter who drives all the apparatuses. I am only stating this so that other people getting into this career can see that those mass CDL's mills are not the only way to obtain experience or the only career one can get when first starting out. I read on here that the worse a potential employer can say is "no" and so keep on knocking on doors, you never know who will open for ya. So I passed that on to my husband and here he is... at his first day with that employer.

Anywho, there was no way to receive the certificate within 3 days regardless of the loan, but we did ask the loan officer at Swift (thanks to Clayshot for mentioning that Swift did have the loan so we didn't waste time calling around Central) to send us an invoice so we could pay. My husband used the invoice and the hiring by Central as evidence of the training. We paid the loan off a week ago and still haven't received the certificate.

HOWEVER, it took this employer like an extra week to get back to James about hiring him because... wait for it... Central withheld all information until the payment cleared. They wouldn't answer anything about James working there. This company does a thorough background check and it involves past employers... the guy who hired my husband told him that Central held everything up until about a week ago. Therefor, we figure it was due to the loan being paid off. So future students of Central, be aware that Swift/Central could cause you to miss out on an opportunity. We are really grateful we were in a position to pay off the loan and that this guy really wanted to take a chance with hiring my husband because he could have easily turned James away instead of waiting on Central.

So, once again - thanks everyone - it was so appreciated.

    Buckeye91 and tangerineGT Thank this.
