As far as the customer in Blaine, WA...two thumbs up (more than two if I had a spare). It's decent easy to get along with people like those folks that makes this job worth doing. I have to say, so far, most of the customers I've been to here have been outstanding.

Turn in hotel receipts to Pat. He will submit them & a separate check will be sent to your home address.

Forgot to pass along a tidbit of info from the drivers meeting... all drivers are now required to have the tanker endorsement, but still no hazmat.

And Alan is trying to get them to reimburse...but it isn't a reimbursed expense yet.

Are Pat and Martin interchangeable? By that I mean do they both have the same responsibilities and authority...or does Pat handle problems on list A and Martin handles list B?

They can be interchangeable but there are certain things Pat takes the lead on. Hotel reimbursement is one.

Well made it back from the southern Texas tour but unfortunately no load available for tomorrow so pulling a reset at the local Loves. Managed to turn 1000 miles over last Friday and Saturday from KC to Fulton, MO to Grand Prairie and down to New Braunfels (a run of epic proportions that won't be discussed how it was done:) Thought the road south of Dallas down I-35 was going to be good but unfortunately a heavy mist and 23 degree temps made for some rather unpleasant night driving after an already rough day. The old black ice rose up and bit quite a few cars in the ###. Did manage to fit in my DOT inspection this afternoon so that was a win for the day as it only took the guy about 30 minutes and I was out of the shop.

The tanker stuff is for those totes with liquid in them. I have not had to haul them yet with Poly.

I have had similar luck this year to what JD had last year weather wise. So far with Poly I've been out west twice...and twice I have traveled between storms. My 1st pu in Seattle that was a 2 pm appointment ended up being a 7-2 FCFS...so I got there early and got 7 pallets and gone in under 30 minutes. I managed to get to Ontario, OR before midnite Logbook time and...found a spot to park. My 2nd pu is in Orem on Weds. Lets hope I stay ahead of the storm...the weather channel's interstate forcast shows green through Wednesday. I may have an issue developing on my truck though. Every morning I blow clouds of smoke for the first 5 minutes of full boost, and every time I get into stop-n-go redlight traffic...this thing decides to try to do a regen and does the same thing...not sure if the dpf injector is hanging up or it's my new turbo breaking in. I know it's been cold and that'll make a diesel smoke until the engine and fuel are warm...but just before I leave, I have had the truck running for a while charging the batteries so you'd think things would be warmed up.

On a positive note...the Airtronics heater in this truck works great. Although tonight will be the biggest test so far...it's suppose to be 0 in Ontario.
