Poly will not meet these expectations. We have no regional, unless you live in Houston,TX area, even then you would only be driving a Ford F550 pulling a small vacuum trailer that would require manual labor. As for no touch, at some point in time all Poly OTR drivers will be expected to help unload. Usually this entails using a pallet puller & chains, really not hard.Home every weekend living in OH? Not gonna happen.

Glad you stopped by. Good luck in your search.

Congrats on the new crib Packard. The wife is also looking for us a new place and found a 1878 house in Thomasville, NC. A big old thing with 5 bedrooms and 2 acres of land that needs a lot of work but selling for only 35K. She is heading to look at it tomorrow. I kind of got fired up looking at those big old Amish houses along US 20 in OH and IN. They are pretty sweet if fixed up nice. IMG_5282.jpg Made it in to Cottage Grove with no problems. Took I-94 to US 14 and then US 12 through Chicago, really not that bad besides just a few stop lights. The ride up US 12 in WI was very nice with a lot of old houses along the road side.

Looks expensive to heat and cool! But nice old place none the less.

Unfortunately that isn't the one we are looking at, that one was along US 20 in Ohio:) Either way yeah it will be a bear to heat and cool it. It had two chimneys on either side that were apparently trimmed off that the roof and shingled over so I would have to get those fixed as I love my chimneys and wood stoves.

Was only offered three loads a little while ago. One heading to Rockford, IL, one to North Vernon, IN and a 3 stopper with 2 deliveries in Montana and finishing out in Ferndale, WA. Going to be a little chilly but I signed up for the glutton of punishment tour across the NW. Gives me the opportunity to see the last two state that I have not visited in the lower 48 and only leaves me with Alaska to get all 50 in.

I thought the interview went fine

Hi y'all , well GT/HR director told me he would likely know something in a couple days . That was last Mon , I haven't heard back , called him today only to get his Voice-mail . left msg about 3.5hrs ago. No return call , well it stinks at shaffer , 100.00 days is about it. Not in real good spirits , tryn to keep a chin up , but its a work in progress. Maybe they decided not to bring anyone else aboard right now , as many of you are waiting on loads. Oh well as i said , if not this time I'll hit them with another app in may this year that would be 6mo's from the 1st one. Be safe out there ,

Nice ! Sounds real good to me also , when you find it let me know sweety ! That home every weekend thing , if you're living Toledo , you should be looking at local city driving home every night , although most local is touch as needed to get it off or on which ever sounds more enticing. As for regional home every weekend start looking at Carriers that have a terminal near where you live that may help your chances . Now Troy oh isn't far from you , Classic Carriers "reefer" may be the no touch thing you're looking for and if you park a personal veh. at their terminal you better your chances most likely to get home every weekend. Before Jevic went belly up I parked mine at the terminal 3 out of 6 weeks I'd get something goin home , 1 in every 6 I'd be out and twice i'd drive my own vehicle home , like when I arrive at the terminal friday mornin or early afternoon. That makes for a long weekend , I lived a 114 miles from the Cinci terminal so even twice every month and a half driving home still only put low mileage on my personal transport.

So I live in Oregon between Portland and Salem. Is this a good area to live and run for Poly? I faxed my app in and got a email today from them that it was received and in the process.
