Made my way up to Wells,NV with no weather problems. Shut down to save some hours for tomorrow. I don't get any hours back until tomorrow night. Looks like I'll have to take it easy tomorrow and finish the drive early Thursday. Thanks again Majestyk and JD for all your info. A Backhaul to Texas would be good. I'll let you guys know what I get. Sounds like things are going well for both of you as well. Hope your weather holds up Majestyk. Guess the truck is still holding up ok? JD, hope they can get your truck in and out for service ok. Take care out there you two! :)

    jdrentzjr Thanks this.

Hi everyone ... Got the call from Poly starting orientation Tues 5 Feb. Again I want to say thanks to you poly drivers that share your experiences here , it is real helpful when experienced drivers do that , other experienced drivers come along and have a better idea if things can work for them or not. Educated decisions in trucking are not easy to come by.
Recruiters are just not gonna give it to ya straight as you guys do, Thanks a bunch guys , I'll do my part as you guys have been.

Kutina, Bumper and jdrentzjr Thank this.

Sometimes it takes a few miles for those peskey gremlins to catch up to ya'. Lonestar is a nice looking model...but still an International under the fancy clothes.

Thanks again gents , looking forward to meeting y'all.
Oh and JD , i take it you were slinging some iron the other day , i never have so if we meet i may have to pick your brain a little , i'd imagine the 1st time isn't fun especially not knowing how to.
LilRob , yeah last week kinda was a bummer , but i just told myself it happen if it's meant to be if not , carry on on with your best foot forward. Other opportunities will come , just keep a watchful eye and be willing to create your own opportunities.

The problem with these trucks are that they are the test trucks so they have really off the wall computer programs in them. The only time I can take it to a dealer is when it goes red and dead and even then the dealer has to contact the engineers to find out what to flash the computer with. I have gotten some pretty strange looks in service departments around the country.

SS, I have to admit that the '07 9400 manure spreader/Cornfield Cadillac I bought with an '06 Cummins gave me reliable service. Even though the 9400 & ProStar are manufactured by International, it could be an apples to oranges comparison.

Maninmoon, last year was the first time I ever had to chain up. Paid an installer on top of Cabbage Hill in OR $40. I watched & learned. Now, "I ain't scared". I'll gladly show you how for free.

Currently in Girard,OH at the SPEEDCO getting truck serviced. Told the shop I would be 7000 miles overdue once I get to GP Saturday. That's when they said to stop at SPEEDCO.

However this will change my plans. I will still stop by the GP yard on Saturday, but only to fuel & turn in paperwork. I want to go on to Ballinger so I can get a restart in & be ready for a productive week.
