Gladhand Seals Theft, Who's Taking Them?

The outbound loads would have two load locks already in them. The terminal put them in, not the Mexicans. We had to swap two for two so the terminal didn't have to buy any.

 

Why don't these thieving drivers order and resell these gladhand seals?

 

I got one of those jewels the other day. Part of doing business south of the border. Im guessing companies take those loses into account. Its a pain for the driver though

 

These days companies could probably stop that by putting some air tags in the rims and letting them keep stealing a few more of them until there's an undeniable open and shut case before confronting them, but nobody seems interested in doing that

 

There’s not a whole lot they can do when it happens on the other side of the river. Friend of mine worked for UP for 10 years. He has stories about the condition of the units that came across the bridges when they did the crew swaps at the Tejas borders. Even tho the UP owns the Mexican branch of the RR down there they couldn't do much about it ether.
