I was on a ship one time anchored in Naples harbor. At that time most of the sewage was flushed right into the harbor. Around daylight when the people were getting up and getting ready for work, it was interesting to see what all flooded into the harbor as people flushed their toilets and threw garbage into the storm drains.
We'd stand on the fantail and laugh at all the condoms; hundreds or thousands of them floating out to sea.
Yeah, car fumes and soot from cars coating all those beautiful statues and old buildings is a shame.
Can't remember the name of that fountain there close to the piers, but people would soak in it on hot days; I wouldn't trust it with all the pollution though. The water looked nice and fresh, but doubt it really was.

 

The Country is a KrapHole with all the graffiti on everything as high as they can reach Drives me crazy the way all the Hollywood movies and Travel channels Romanticize the place.

 

At least the President of Italy is trying to stop the illegals from going there. Organized crime helps a little selling organs for transplant all over the EU & Russia; a plentiful supply of "donated organs" from those generous illegals.100's of people on the waiting list dropped off the list and no record of a transplant being done.
Naples is ok for drunk sailors, but not a place to waste vacation money on with the family.
Even the nude beaches on Capri aren't that impressive; and I'm pretty sure you've been there.

 

Yes; Glaciers have been melting, and reforming since the ice age, as well as long before the last great Ice Age.
However, this is the first time in the history of this planet that humans, and humans alone, are directly responsible for the mass melting.

 

The cities in the US are every bit as filthy and decrepit as the cities in Italy.
Have you traveled in Switzerland lately?
The cities, the government, and the people are in wonderful shape; far superior to anything that America has to offer. Period.
Sorry to rock your guy’s boat here, but America has become a filthy dirthole and is an embarassment to itself.

 

Yep lived over in Lugano for a bit years ago. Definitely cleaner. But didn't hurt that Switzerland stayed out of the EU.

I was in Barcelona few years ago. The city smelled like a dirty bathroom and looked like it needed to be pressure washed from head height down. I swear everyone was peeing on the building walls there .

 

Right on; the Swiss people actually had a direct vote whether or not to join the EU; one of the few countries where the peoples’ vote really does count.
