Now the smell is getting worse diabetes and cholesterol is discovered by blood test which you don’t get results back same day. Your friends story is not holding water the health problems like these don’t happen very rapidly so yes I’m calling your friend a liar that was holding equipment hostage because he knew he was violating the work agreement by not returning the unit to a terminal. This is just my opinion based on info that is posted I’m naturally wary of Eastern European owned company’s but see no wrongdoing in this instance.

I should’ve mentioned that drivers been trying to talk to the company phone/email/text the last four or five weeks, but they’re just ignoring him pretty much. Said he would call the company and it would go to voicemail, or a person would answer and end up forwarding him to a voicemail line of supervisors or upper management.
companies a hoe that’s all I know. -

You said he told them he didn’t feel well, and was going to the doctors. If he did the tests 4 weeks ago as you say, his doctor would have contacted him at least 3 weeks ago with results and recommendations, not just let him roam around the country in a 80K lb death machine waiting for him to not feel well and stop by again. -

Hi " iHaveaquestion"
I want to address some inaccuracies in the story you wrote. The figures you've mentioned are incorrect, and many of these issues could have been resolved simply by returning the truck to the terminal. First and foremost, I acknowledge that the driver has been a good driver. However, it seems that personal convenience has been prioritized over the work assigned, which has led to some denials. I want to clarify that this company is not a scam, and not every company out there operates unethically.
After seven months with us, we noticed driver became comfortable requesting home time every two weeks. This continued for about 2-3 weeks before management needed to step in to understand why you required 4-7 days at home after being on the road for two weeks. Each request cited a family emergency. After being on the road for three weeks, you requested a weekend home. Upon your arrival on Thursday, you expressed complaints about your health. By Friday, you mentioned you were on heavy medication and unable to drive.
The company requested that by the following Friday, you at least return the truck to the terminal, and we could arrange for another driver to catch a ride back home or help you get a rental. You agreed. When you asked about your pay the following Thursday, the company informed you that no pay would be released because the truck was essentially abandoned. If we needed to recover the truck, a recovery fee would be applied to your check. Your response was to have us come pick up the truck since you stated you could not drive. Regarding the issue of holding your last check and the expenses associated with the truck, it's true that some of your actions inflated the costs only harming you. For instance, driver left the back fan and fridge running, which drained the battery, and the trailer was locked. If driver were concerned about the trailer being stolen, why was there no concern for the truck's safety?
The company incurred the following costs for recovery: - $0.00 for getting to the truck (another driver transported the recovery driver) - $750.00 for the battery - $145.00 for the locksmith Total: $895.00 Driver chose to leave the truck where he did, and the company recovered it in the most efficient manner possible. While you the "friend" of driver may feel proud of how this situation was handled by the driver, the company feels a sense of shame that there are drivers out there who contribute to a negative image for the trucking industry.
Also appreciate the respectful comments from other who understand both sides and feel that the driver contributed to this whole situation. Best regards, -
