TL;DR Could you give me any info on Terex account out of Watertown, SD to KC, MO and/or Britton Transport Flatbed div?
Back in 2019 after I started hauling for TMC and QUICKLY determined that OTR/flatbed life was not the life for me after I would complete my 1-year contract w/ TMC, I started searching for my next gig. After taking a Lowes St. Josephs load to Grand Forks, ND, and shutting down for the night, I found a listing for a dedicated Britton job out of Watertown, SD (which is now where I live by pure coincidence) down to KC, MO out and backs from the Terex Factory. I was told that the position was quickly filled and that they would like for me to drive OTR for them to which I declined. Fast fwd to 2020 and I grab a great hourly/OT/Double-Time) local gig hauling bulk milk from farms to plant. Have been here just shy of 2 years now...and I was offered that dedicated account.
A few things I've learned in doing a year of FB OTR and now local is that I am not suited for LTL work (which I have applied for in the past and am now happy to have not been offered the positions because I would not have been a good fit) and that I like driving/being OTR.
This dedicated lane will afford me enough OTR exposure to fill my need as well as give me enough time off to make me still ALMOST feel as if I was a local driver, but w/o the LTL life that local typically comes with.
I've spoken to the OP's Manager (Ty) and he comes across as a really solid guy and I liked what he had to say.
Does anyone here currently w/ Britton (currently on this account) have some inside info on the company/trucks/expectations etc? I gave my company my 2-week notice yesterday and they're trying to do everything they can to keep me for which I'm very much grateful for and my manager there stated that I will have burned no bridges and should Britton not work out for me, I can start back with my current outfit anytime I want...which was not offered to the last 4 guys that left.
Going from Local to Regional OTR w/ Britton

I worked for them last year. Terex loads were pre-loaded/secured. Not sure if it that's still the case.
Truck governed at 65, but no cameras. Double bunk freightliners I think. Really good company imo. Liberal pet policy also.
When I quit, they paid for my rental car home too.
