Got it on Ebay. Stores 1 hour of video on a loop. miniSD card for storage. It only cost $175. Don't get the CHEAP dashcams on Ebay. They are trash! Mine is color and isn't made like a cheap carnival toy. You can spend much more, but I just wanted something to record what happens in front of my truck. It was my wif's idea after I told her that it is always the cdl driver's fault. She call BS and insisted on finding a camera for me. It's important to protect how we provide for our families.
Going to Roehl, have questions and need advice. I'm going flatbed.

Hey any updates on your training or orientation?
-
one hour would make me happy.
i cut a driver off once in akron-- my lane ended and i moved over too quickly and annoyed him, my fault-- and he pulled around in front of me and dynamited his brakes.
then he called in and told roehl i was waving my finger at him, which wasn't true but is still a contested part of my file.
a camera would have shown the whole sequence. -
Great thread. I'm currently in school and have a pre hire with Roehl. I have a few questions.
I live in St Paul, MN and was thinking about going flatbed. I don't want to slip seat with anyone so I wont be on a home time option. How often can I expect to get home and for how long?
Do the trucks have apu's? if not what do you do to stay comfortable? Do they have inverters or can I install one?
I cant park the truck where I live so where do I keep the truck when i'm on home time?
Thanks guys for your time! -

Going to orientation in Gary 10-29, flatbed, reefer or van? live in central ny, want to get home once in awhile and make some $$ too. Any advice, thanks
-
Rest of the info scan other threads most is the same for all divisions like hometime. Flatbed pays the most then reefer then van. Apu or battery packs hit or miss what you get. Apu has inverter if it works battery packs don't, but a inverter Roehl install for $200-$250, or buy a small one for 12V socket.
BDT Thanks this. -
Any idea of which trucks new, not new... are in each fleet for the new drivers? Thanks
-
All fleets also have a few '07s around
EthanBDT Thanks this. -
They are phasing out the 07's, they will never get rid of mine though
