Wow classic spoon feed mentality. Something like 90% of the farming land in USA grows soy beans, corn, wheat and sugar cane or cotton. To do what? Feed the cows, pigs and chicken. America has a MEAT addiction. If those lands were used to grow REAL food there would be no scarcity. Period.

Go ahead and eat up your haz-mat load of glyphosate and perpetuate the ruining of US soils you smart cookie. Because what will we eat?? Please Monsanto save us,,,,,, cry me a river

I don’t agree with the eating meat part but the rest is spot on. We wouldn’t put soda in our diesel tanks but we are quick to load our irreplaceable human body with whatever gunk we can get our taste buds on. But hey what do I know... just a trucking guy with no college degree

Look at all the recipes to make vegetables taste like meat but no recipes to make a meat taste like a vegetable.

This proves what? , nice deflection... not really

meat has no taste, until seasoned with nature. How often do you eat raw chicken and pork? Those recipes you speak of are for people attempting to wean themselves of the S.A.D (standard American diet) here in the states

If we were all vegetarian/ vegan originally here in the states, then the recipes would be chicken tasting like seasoned broccoli and etc

Nearly half the food produced goes bad before it reaches a consumer.

We have a food system problem, and the issue is the very core of that system. We put animals in confinement. Ok so now we need to feed them year round. Well that’s fine we’ll just turn the farmland perennial pastures into grain crops- corn, soy, wheat. Now we will truck it to the farms. Since the animals are in confinement, we will truck their manure back to the fields. Better yet just spray chemicals. No that land is sick land reliant on a drug year after year, you can’t grow jack on that without fighting weeds! So, let’s spray it some more. Shoot that kills the crop too. Let’s make a crop that resist the spray..... you see where I’m going. Now we want to call blame to animals for contributing so heavily to climate change. Ever think it’s the way we FARM them?

Turn the crop land back to perennial pasture, put the cow on it with chickens to follow. No feed transport, no manure transport, no chemical fertilizer. Rotate vegetable crops in every few years and put pigs on before and after veggies to disturb the soul and eat leftovers and in the woods otherwise, they thrive. Grow enough feed in there to supplement the animals when needed. Mimick this system over and over in every county. I shouldn’t be in Maine eating garlic for Mexico! Or meat from another country!

I’m sure there’s flaws in that system like everyone but it’s one that’s happened since the dawn of agriculture until the 1930s/50s.

Again, LOCAL, sustainable agriculture is THE way.

    Carry on TTR.....

Perpetual madness... cultures all around the world have mastered this for thousands of years... but here in the states we continue to put band aids on bullet wounds... Farmers grow the beans and corn and etc because it’s a guaranteed sale + subsidies... growing real food is to risky now a days I guess

I was raised in America so yea I ate pork chicken and all of that... not the ones you mentioned but my point remains - meat has no taste ! Until cooked or seasoned a certain way....

Real meat-eaters in nature don’t eat meat because it tastes good u know, they eat it because they were built to...

Real meat eaters in nature have claws, sharp teeth, short intestine tracks, high acid content in their gut... they’re built to eat raw meat

We’re the humans, the ones with flat teeth, long intestines, and fingers to pick fruit and produce
