Seems like Kobalt and Dewalt are the top picks in this thread. Not O/O but definitely want to get a small scale toolset to keep in the side door. Was thinking another Craftsman bundle along with a Milwaukee 3/8" cordless drill. But I'll definitely have to check out the Kobalt.

Of course Snap-On or Mack would be nice. But that's like paying for a whole truck right there.

    Siinman Thanks this.

I was always a craftsman guy for years, now Craftsman are junk. Seems the ratchet always falls apart or doesn't connect right after a year. So far the Kobalt set is better built and looks like it will last. I seen a few $100 kits that are pretty nice as well.

I have the Harbor Freight 225 piece mechanic tool set and it has been great.I have used it for all sorts of repairs on the truck and it has not let me down one bit.Besides that I purchased harbor freight polished wrenches, screw driver kit, electrical pliers, etc. The bigger mechanic set they sell is not worth it in my opinion because it has too much junk like the pliers it brings which are garbage.Harbor Freight gets a lot of heat for being junk but the tools they have now are not the same ones they had 15 years ago and they still do have garbage stuff but you can tell just by looking at them if they are junk.As far as their cordless power tools I would not buy them because at the prices they sell them you can just wait for Home Depot to have their sales on Makita which they have several times a year and you end up with a better tool at the same price.
