That’s why I just laugh out loud when people say I pull reefers because “people gotta eat”

Yea you have fun spending 10-20 hours a week dealing with those colossal ‘effin idiots at grocery warehouses so people can eat. Better you than me.

Still the same. Council Bluffs isn’t staffed at night. 24/7 restroom access. Lounge and showers are open 0600 to 2200.

I feel the company has a decent foundation for newer drivers who dont mind being out weeks at a time or dont mind 34 hr restarts every 6 days as the miles are there. I left with a respectable 2 week notice because I realized that being an owner op just works out better for me in how I like to run and my hometime so I returned to that route.

Huh, this is a very very innacurate post. You are not running hard if you are only driving 2,800 miles. I run hard and my worst weeks are 3,600 miles.

Yes the fuel thing was super weird for me when I first started but it takes like 2 days to get used to. Getting showers is easy if you are only driving 2,800 miles.

After hours calls can definitely be diffocult sometimes. They are almost always useless, but you just have to set yourself up for success with you DM before they leave the office and over the weekend.

Alex is super strict, and he likes to talk about tire prices a lot, but he does his job well and is very understanding. If you do thing properly there won‘t be an issue with him.

It sounds like you either had some weird requirements like „Not driving certain hours“ or wanting to be home every 4 days or something weird like that or you just had a bad DM (I know a driver that got one of the new DM‘s and his stories make me want to cry )

Overall Jacko is a top tier company. I average $2,200-2,600 a week. I am super easy going with them so they are super easy going with me. When they need me to do something I do it, and they treat me well. When I want home time I take 2-4 weeks off and they approve it instantly - never qiestion it. (But I stay out for a long time and that was a condition I wanted when I was hired)

Like any job if you have impossible demands then of course you will not get along well. Nobody is going to call you for using PC. No one micromanages anything. I text my DM my ETA, hours left on my drive after delivery, and hours left on my 70 after delivery when I pick up every load. He replies with „Copy“ and I am set up with my next load before I drop my current one. No one calls asking where you are or what you‘re doing, unless you are taking 16 hour breaks and missing appointments then I‘m sure someone will be calling. Just navigate your hardships and let your DM know, because Jacko is super super super accomodating. 10/10 company for me

your comment seems too good to be true, a lot of their reviews comment about lack of leadership, and dangerous drivers. Their safer web stats are ok, but they crash alot for a small carrier, 12 crashes in 2 years is wild.

I saw your other comment about jacko as well, it seems like youre doing damage control for them, but you mentioned youre gone for 5-7 months at a time and dont even get a month off in return for doing whatever they need you to at .66cpm along with having to change trucks often.

Find that hard to believe..3600 Mo are your worst weeks?..that’s a farce..you’re not running 4000k miles a week…

Kind of believable if its a dedicated lane and if he gets lucky with the shippers and consignees.

I have a 4100 mile night turn that I've done in 5.5 almost 5 days flat twice, but the Walmart DC in corinne ut always screws it up.

This is Marchs miles. This is my normal. No dedicated lane. However I run extremely tight clocks. Breaks are never more than 10 hours and 34 hours.

No damage control, I‘m just a driver. I do just genuinely enjoy this company. I want to work because I have very big goals and no ones life will ever change if they do not work. So my 2-4 weeks off is what I want. I am certain that if I wanted more time off they would give it to me no problem at all. As far as other drivers being dangerous, I can‘t really speak to that. I don‘t care what other drivers are doing. I don‘t get called into weigh stations often and almost always get the bypass. I only change trucks because I am gone for weeks at a time, of course they don‘t want a truck sitting that long. However it works out for me because every time I come back they have a brand new shiny truck waiting for me so I never break down. This is only my experience though and for me I absolutely love this company. It provides exactly what I need it to and every is always super nice to me.
