Good dash cam with long power cable

Sylvania cams come with a very long cord. It's just an USB cable though, you can buy them any length you want from Amazon

 

Yep, most just use a USB cord, get any length you want.

But if you want it clean why not put a power point up above the windshield if there isn't one there already. Have you got CB power above the windshield?

 

My last Garmin came with a short and very long cable..been a handful of years so I don’t know what they currently offer.

Don’t know what you have for a tractor but maybe you could add a power port to the overhead console. Last Volvo I drove had one up above.

 

Get a dash cam that uses USB-C cable, then order either a Belkin BoostCharge Pro or an Anker USB-C Cable for 240W devices, order the 10 foot ones and run that to a power source.

 

I fought it for a long time. Doesn't matter how good of a driver you are. You have to protect yourself however you can nowadays. Everyone is looking for an excuse to sue a trucker. Go to any big city and look at the billboards, one after another. The jackoff lawyers are training the public that every truck on the road is a cash cow.

It's just part of the job.

 

I have the Garmin gps with the built in dash cam on it, I hate having a whole bunch of garbage on my dash/wind shield
