    VDO.
So far nobody has complained about it on this forum.
    And no monthly payments.

The one that uses paper, and pen, and a ruler. Perhaps a calculator. Cost less than $5 A month. The pages can be edited very easily by the driver.
Also you will need theses as a back up if the eld fails, or glitches.

Timin770, bottomdumpin and wallance Thank this.

When we first got our Keep Trucking ELD, it would not light up. Turned out to be a fuse blown in the truck. Replaced fuse, all good.

If you can, check with a known, good truck to see if it is the unit or your truck.

Garmin. Sold in truck stops for around $250 and no monthly fees. Data is stored locally on your device, so it is as secure as you make it. No "cloud" and nothing on the www.

It's been working fine for me...does everything I need it to do and not much else.

I just purchased Blue Ink's BIT ELD. So far I'm impressed with the quick customer service and an easy to understand manual. They also have instructional videos on YouTube.

IVG omnitracs is the best. BE PREPARED to pull out your wallet. With the IVG you get many options. For example I have weigh station bypass, IFTA fuel tax mileage calculator, Vehicle Inspection, many more... now I pay well over $50 a month, but when I come to a weigh station I get that nice shiny green arrow that says bypass while all the other guys go in the weigh station. GA no longer offers bypass. WA and Montana do not offer bypass either with drivewyze.
