What would you all draw the line at for hauling hazmat loads? Do you all have a minimum you want to run hazmat? I feel like sometimes my dispatcher is just getting hazmat loads to say we haul hazmat that aren't really paying anything more than non-hazmat freight.

So far just class 8 and class 3 is what ive gotten. But doesn't seem worth it for it to only pay. 22-45cpm more than other stuff, gross. Mostly cleaning solvents and such.

For the stuff I see I have never thought it was worth getting the insurance to cover it with my own authority. Maybe if you can get a dedicated account it would be worth it. Just load board freight seems to be not worth doing.

Unless someone is hauling hazmat for a dollar a mile, 50% will be more than 50cpm.

And if someone really is hauling hazmat for a dollar a mile... nevermind, I won't even go there.
