decided to sit this trip out.
heavy snow this evening thru weds nite above 5000 ft.
talked to dl and he said it's OK, that he couldn't make me run lol.
gave him the 3 senario that I would do and this one was the best since I am gonna miss a trip either way

 

truck still in shop.
shop said nox sensor is bad and they don't have it stock.

 

I waited over two weeks for nox sensor on my F350.

 

Story City, IA.
I shut down yesterday in anticipation of the storm up north today. I'm headed to Fridley, MN, on the north end of Minneapolis.
I'll deliver a day late.

There were dozens of crashes all around that area today. Glad I wasn't part of it.

That's funny.
My terminal would make us shut down if they could. They are tired of preventable accidents.

 

all the driver leaders I have had always supported what I chose to do.
when I tell them of the weather ck ditions they always say shutdown if necessary.
I just found it funny when he said this. cause he normally says to shut down if not safe.

 

Baxter, MN, again, from a Costco load, at the rest area.
And then I'm coming right back up here tomorrow with my next Costco load.
I'm getting tired of seeing Baxter, even though it is a nice drive up here.

 

speedys t/s in Lupton az.
truck still in shop so got to terminal around 0600 to get a loaner.
got that and grabbed some stuff I needed for the trips.
I thought load was already I yard but dl says he sent a message saying it be here at 1000. told him I don't get messages on the In gauge app most of the time.
other driver was coming up from San Diego and was having problem with trailer In the shipper system..
finally showed up around 1230.
got here at 30 minutes past midnight

 

I missed it, but, what is the truck in the shop for?
It has been in there a long time now.

And I don't do loaner trucks anymore.
Way too much trouble moving everything over and back again, not to mention getting back to it in the first place.

 

put it in for a yellow engine lite last Sunday.
the computer said fuel filter. then they said it was a nice sensor.
called them yesterday and now need 2 more things and parts coming from Midwest. don't remember what they were.
he said maybe next week mow lol.
when i use to live in my truck... I would move ev everything out and keep the loaner.
since I have an apartment now.. I just take what I need.
only thing I don't take that's worth anything is the microwave.

delivered that load to Victorville last nite. they said they don't release empties.
kinda passed me off seeing all the Mt trailers there
dl said don't worry if they don't have one since my next load is in the yard.
got here around 2130, so didn't go home. slept in the truck.
