I tried the new per diem program for a few weeks, and I just opted out of it.

It's really hard to tell how they calculate things now.
My cpm went from 64 to 40, they subtract and add in, then add in some more from somewhere, and it just doesn't seem to add up correctly.

    The way I figure it...
If I need an accounting degree to figure it out and understand it, it isn't something I want to be in.

    dptrucker and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.

So will you be heading to a scale to weight those heavy loads when you pick them up now?

    Just wondering.
That one cost you about 24 first weighs at a CAT scale, and a lot of time.

And you should make sure your next truck has some sort of gauge for the weight on your drives.
It's the first thing I look at when picking up a load.
Too high or too low on the drives, and I know what I have to do.

This afternoon just north of Des Moines a trailer tire blew.
The Goodyear service people came out to fix it, which took just about 3 hours.

I was rather hoping something would come along to get me out of my next load.
The times were very tight and the first stop was a live unload at 0400.
That delay made it so I could not deliver the first stop on time, so it was taken off and replaced with one I like better.

    dwells40 Thanks this.

When you make a post there should be a few icons you can use like BOLD ITALICS or UNDERLINED along with various other tools, one of which is a picture icon. You will select this and it will bring up your photo album. Choose the picture you want to post and, voila!
