load i got from other driver was a live unload in lynwood.
appt time was for 0930 yesterday.
    my dl was off yesterday
so i was dealing with his dl and she wouldnt tcall it saying she was trying to get it rescheduled for today.
    never got a reschedule message.
so i called my dl this morning and he got it tcalled.
took other load off saying he figure out what to do when i got back to jurupa.
other driver is off tomorrow and his load picks up on friday.
he had no load yet for today so thsts probably why my dl took that liad off

There is a special request to get me to Phoenix so I can get my truck, and so far the planners are not even trying to route me that way.
On a load now that delivers tomorrow in Dodge City, KS, and the next one is t-calling at Edwardsville.
It has been nearly a week and I am still not much closer.

    Franklin, OH at the Pilot.
I delivered a load to Coors in Trenton this afternoon and this is the closest, and only, place to park around here.
Sunday afternoon, so it is very crowded here, and that load was scheduled as a live unload.
When I got there I was asked if I wanted to drop or if it was a live unload. Well, my load assignment said live but it said drop in another area, so...
Your choice she said, so I dropped it so I could bobtail out.

Knowing where I was coming I really wanted to be bobtail, so I'm glad she gave me the choice.
This is one of the worst Pilots in the country for space, so I always try to be bobtail.

A pplan came in at around 0800 this morning.
Picking up in IN Tuesday morning and going straight to Phoenix, AZ, nearly 1,900 miles. It delivers Friday morning so it will be a bit tight on time (well, tight for me...).
I was afraid that I would get a series of loads to get me there, so the nonstop sure is nice.

This truck is due for a transmission service, a few hundred miles shy of getting to Phoenix. So if I had several loads getting me there I might have had to get it to a shop between here and there. Now I don't have to worry about that. It will simply be on hold once I get there.

    Turns out, not so non-stop.

A DEF sensor went out and the truck was de-rated down to 5 MPH. That was yesterday morning.
It took most of the day to get my load re-powered so I didn't get the tow truck until today. I had to be towed 128 miles to the Albuquerque terminal because they won't let outside shops do that repair.

They wanted to put me in a loaner truck, which I said no to. They will get to my truck Monday and I don't want to swap trucks and get how knows how far away, only to have to return to that terminal to swap it back, and then to Phoenix to swap it once again.

Since I refused the loaner they won't pay breakdown pay (except for yesterday), which is fine with me. They did put me up in a motel for the weekend, however, so that was nice. I really had expected to pay for the motel myself so I consider it very generous of Swift.

I was a bit surprised to get the truck back today. The shop guy had been telling me they were really short on staff, but they got the truck in first thing this morning. Even though it needed a couple other things, like the transmission service, they had it back to me before 1400.

They had turned off the power over the weekend so all the food in the fridge went bad.
And somehow they ripped out the connector to the USB cable for my GPS. The tip was still in the GPS, but not the rest of it. I'm not really sure how that could even happen, but it did.

After waiting a couple hours without a pplan I bobtailed to the nearest Walmart. Always easier being bobtail. I restocked and then came to a Love's for the night.
Just as I got here I was sent a pplan.
Pick up an mt at the terminal and deadhead to Phoenix. ...Sweet.

So I'll head to Phoenix tomorrow to swap out trucks.

With this truck getting done so fast I am very glad I didn't do the loaner truck thing.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

I finally found my truck this morning and they did a wonderful job fixing it. Even the inside is spotless, with a new mattress rolled up on the floor.
Just one problem... the A/C isn't working so I had to put it back in the shop.
It is a warranty thing so it has to go to Freightliner. He said hopefully it will get in there tomorrow.

    dptrucker Thanks this.
