They give you some pretty nice stuff, not to mention the million mile truck.

It took me 10 years and 1 month to reach a million.

jurupa valley at home.
been a rough week.
truck had reservation saturday for its cal bit(90 day inspection).
also had a powersteering leak somewhere but couldnt find where exactly. thought maybe resevoir or lines connecting to it.
never saw any drips.
shop shorthanded and had to order part.
said it might be done by tuesday.
didnt have any loaner available so went home.
tuesday they said had to order more parts. dl didnt say. be ready monday.
she said come in wedsnesday for a loaner.
after pretripping truck drove over to where truck was to get sone stuff.
then over to front where i can grab my bags and cpap bag.
on they way over idiot lights come on for abs lights and traction control ( wouldnt turn off).
so dl said to park truck where i got it.
to come back on friday in hopes they have another one.
so been off all week so far.

most of my family is now onbtge eaat coast.
my neice had plans with her freinds.

 

I treated myself to a late Christmas and bought a new computer.
For nearly 15 years I have had only laptops because I was on the truck, and I wanted a desktop again.

So I went to Costco and grabbed a MSI Codex series.
Intel Core Ultra 7 265
Nvidia RTX 5060Ti
32GB ram
2TB SSD with Windows 11 (yuk)

Then headed to Best Buy for the monitor and and another SSD for Linux.
Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB (with heatsink) for the SSD. (Much better than the WD Green that Windows is stuck on.)
AOC 27" QD OLED for the monitor. (Best image quality of any monitor I have seen. It's amazing.)

I'm in computer heaven now.

 

I always build my own computers, I running windows 11, seems fine, lots of things disabled.

 

What a nice day today.

My sister and I headed over to Treasure Island Casino for a little gambling. One of the 3 casino's we frequent.
I was on my third slot machine, putting in 20 bucks and playing 75 cent bets, so $60 in. Hit or miss, $20 per machine.
I like the Quick Hit machines.
Well, with that third machine I hit 11 out of a possible 12 Quick Hits and won $1,233.
One of nice things about those machines is, the payouts are proportional to the bet - which ranges from 75 cents to 6 dollars.
But the payouts for the top two jackpots with 11 or 12 Quick Hits stays the same for all bets. 11 and 12 are progressive, 11 starting out at $500.
When I got down to $1,250 on that machine I cashed it out.

Walked around a bit and played another machine (not a Quick Hit). I was on my second $20 on that one, with a $2 bet, and hit 3 of the 4 bonus rounds and walked away with $175.

So with $100 in, I walked away $1,325 ahead.
