Already in SLC.
Picked up a last minute load heading here to WVC. Apparently, 30 minutes before scheduled pickup at 1600, the driver (who committed to the load) sent in a Mac 22 starting he couldn't pick it up until 0800, citing HOS. The problem is that the shipper isn't open on weekends, and the delivery is Sunday morning.
His loss, my gain.
I'll be meeting my student in about six hours, and I have yet to get to sleep...![]()

Wait a minute, this Safeway in Tracy, CA sounds familiar. They're showing it as a live unload at 18:00 Monday by appt only from Kimberly Clark.
-
The last load I had there was a live unload. Once I got a door it was unloaded in about 45 minutes. -
Denver.
I dropped off the t-call load and was dispatched on the load that was said to be my home time load.
At the same time I get another pplan that said it was my home time load. Another live unload t-called load at the terminal. So another 1 paid mile for several hours of work, aside from $25 for short haul.
I said no, saying that my current load is my home time load and I have made plans.
The message back:
"Your current PTA is more than 18 hours in the future, which does not meet load offering rules."
Whatever that means.
I didn't really mind doing the one load in the morning. I needed to get to the terminal anyway to get my rider approved.
But I don't intend to do another crap load that will take until early afternoon. -
Stuck in Denver.

Loves in Santa Nella, California. Just after I started to eat I got a call from my mom, and since she rarely calls me the first thing I asked is what happened. I always knew my grandma would go when I was 1800 miles from home, and running on recap won't get me back until Friday at the earliest. I'll make delivery tomorrow afternoon and try to get something pointing me back to Texas in the morning.

Probably 0615 just to give the driver time to wake up.
This place is crazy. Trucks and trailers all over the place.
I don't think even a yard dog could get the trailer out with this clearance.
And, are there yard dogs that early?
Swift should really consider moving this terminal to a better location.
Maybe out by the airport or something? But a place out of the main drag. -

Denver at the TA.
A quick and easy unload this morning, I was the first appointment.
No one bothered me with any more pplans.
After a bit of waiting at the terminal, and bugging a guy at the dispatch window, I finally got the rider forms signed and sent. So tomorrow I pick up my youngest daughter for her first summer on the truck.
Our first day and a half will be spent here so I can get a 34 to reset my hours.Subutai Thanks this.
