I have filled out quite a few apps in my search for a job and DeBoer was the only one to rival Schnieder in it's scrutiny of the individual.

I worked for deBoer right out of driving school for about 3 months. I was a complete noobie but I had a great trainer and a very friendly and personal dispatcher. However, I did get a few experiences with bad trucks and such. The reason I ended up leaving was apparently they could never find freight going near my house. Id give em a thumbs up though, theyre a nice starter company.

This is a very interesting thread to say the least.
And if Schnieder and DeBoers' hiring criteria are so high; why do a lot of thier drivers still suck?
That statement is rediculous and confusing.
See; I noticed that thirteens' profile states he lives in Texas. What's my point? DeBoer boasts its' major traffic lanes are Wisconsin (midwest) to Texas, and California.
See where I'm going with this?
If Deboer can't get thirteen home, and he lives in Texas, a major traffic lane for the company, how are you gonna get home if you live somewhere else?
Based on that knowledge alone.....my research of this company would be over. -
this was the style i had.. back and fourth from tx 2 wi. then after 2 weeks, go home time.. they aint got a ld heading your way.. it was a patteren..

I am part of a team for Deboer and it is a nice starter company, but don't expect alot of miles to start with. Their equipment is a lot to be desired. I have the understanding that they are updating the tractors but not for everyone. Only those with the company for awhile get new tractors. Make your decision based on what you really expect from a company.

I'm starting with them in june. So far Gerald,(the recruiter)has been open and answered all my questions I got off this site. First big rig otr job. I've been working towards this a long time. I'm really fired up, but a little nervous too. I have more to say, but have to go now.

well,I'm back home for a few days. went with trainer for ten days, about 3500miles. Got issued my own truck and off I went. Started the 18th, home on the 7th. So far I'm eatin it up. Having a blast. I still need to work on logs and the qual-com, but I'll get better with practice. I keep thinking to myself, that's the first time I did that or that's the first time I saw that. Seems like more fun than work. All in All, I'm very satisfied with my choise of deboer.
pagan22 Thanks this.
