Good Price? 2008 Freightliner with 210k miles $20k

    I'm looking at a 2008 Freightliner with only 210k miles for $20,000.

    It has an Mercedes MBE 4000 engine. The truck looks pretty clean and I believe they've kept up with maintenence.

    What do we think about this engine/ year? Am I looking for trouble?

    If it does not have a DPF I’d buy it. I had a 2006 with the Mercedes. Wasn’t a powerhouse, but it was reliable.

    If the body/interior is nice and there’s not much rust, buy it. Everything mechanical you can repair or replace. Shoot, I payed more for insurance on my first year MC.

    let’s see some pics, if you don’t buy it, I might.

    It has a DPF. Its very clean. No oil leaks. Clean interior. No rust.

    I didn't ask. It definitely doesn't have 1.2 million miles. The engine is very clean.

    So what's the story with it how it's 14 years old and has only that many miles..you get the VIN and run a history check on it?
