Stay away from Stevens! If you are in WA state look into Gordon for a big company with a reefer division.

I did my time with Knight's reefer division and Marten. Definitely fine for starting out, but then you can move to something else once you get a year or two under your belt.

I can't speak from experience, but I've hard a lot of negative about Stevens (reefer based out of Dallas). I had friends with Gordon. The only drawback with Gordon is the 61 mph trucks, but they have nice trucks with APUs and the newest qualcomm system. Their Cascadias are really nice and Gordon is great if you live on the west coast. You'll rarely see them out East.

I'm scoping for a 48st company with bi-weekly hometime, .38-.40, and hire from OK. Love to run west, but wife wants to run FL as well.

That Florida stuff is sit and wait....every single time I have gone to florida I sit. That is why I like to run and run from Cali to Pa and back and forth plus I have it down like an art!

What I haven't figure out yet which is worst, WA or OR, FL, or the Northeast...I can handle Hunts Point but anything after that I become a crazy man! Unless someone has always been holding out on me with a sweet deal in Florida across from the Beach...at least on I-40 I have casino to sit at and attempt probability with free cash! :biggrin_25523:

What's the word on Schaffer? They are Crete's refer division I believe, and I have hear good things about Crete. Does anyone with experience know if there is any advantage in refers over dry vans?
