I’ve been looking at a 2000 Mack vision for 16,000 with only 310,000 original miles on it. It was a community colleges truck then a farmer bought it and put a new transmission in (he wanted auto shift) I am not saying the dealership

Auto transmission is expensive to work on...

Transmission was installed by dealership that has it now. And was owned by friend of owner of dealership
-
Myself, you could not give me a truck with an automatic transmission even if they just put it in.
Outrageously expensive to repair and if it is computerized the number of problems that you can have are exponentially multiplied.
If the rest of the truck is nice maybe you can get it inexpensively enough to have someone put a regular transmission in.
The truck is virtually worthless with that transmission in it and if you ever decide to sell it would be incredibly difficult to do. -
The transmission itself is the bad feature but if he really is best friends with the owner and he's his good buddy they'll have every single solitary one of the service records right from the very beginning of time and you'll have everything complete for that truck.
When you tell them you want that and they say well I'm not really sure if I can get that blah blah blah run for your life. -

It’s the old school auto shift that has a clutch
if I don’t buy it I will probably stay company little longer but go OTR. (No rent or utilities) been local last couple years
when transmission goes out put a 13 as in is my thought
