    I once spent 5 days off at a hotel in Grand Junction, Co. while the truck was being repaired. I've never been so bored in my entire life. Pre-Uber/Lyft days, taxi only ran 5 am to 11 pm, good luck getting them to come get you to take you10 minutes into town, hotel restaurant was open 6 am to 9 am for breakfast, 11 am to 1 pm for lunch, and 5 pm to 9 pm for dinner, the hotel bar didn't open till 5 pm. On the upside, I spent each night in that bar, and paid for it on the company credit card. My liver has never hated me so much.

    I was broke down in Las Vegas one time for 8 days. Had a blast. Made enough off of the casino to pay for my hotel and meals. And I ate pretty good. It was starting to get a little old at the end though.
