    I have a quick question? My wife just purchased this cam for me for a birthday gift for me to use as a dash cam. Will this cam still record while plugged into the cig lighter so i can constantly keep it on to record?

    If the power port has constant power, your gopro will just keep recording. If the power port turns off when the key is off, you will need to find a constant power source (to keep recording) or to make sure it is in the one button mode (which starts recording whenever it has power): https://gopro.com/support/articles/turning-off-one-button-mode

    Not all the gopro's have the one button mode, but your wife did good and got one that does...

    mini-usb to usb cable - 10' long.
    12v usb power dongle.

    yup, got 2 pkgs of them from radio shack for $6.99 each. they adhere to the glass and to the vinyl (just clean it off with windex first and let it dry real good). keeps things nice and tidy.
