Central isn't bad. We just got taken over by swift but everything is starting to smooth out! They have a decent training program which isn't too short or too long in my opinion. Good luck to u!

There are videos on YouTube that u should watch about what to bring to training. They were helpful for me.

Six of one, half dozen of another. Both companies are about the same, training-wise.

Take a pillow and sleeping bag since you will be with a trainer on the road.

England's lease scam is where they really shine as worst of the worst.ChefBrianN Thanks this. -
How early am i to be awake for training?
If I have some experience driving a semi (had a permit for a while, never went for my test) will that help me out? I can straight line back, Parallel park, and double clutch with ease, I can drive a semi better than a manual transmission car -
To be honest, I'd steer clear of both of them. If you're looking for a starter/training company they are basically the same. Don't let yourself get talked into a lease right out of the door. I drove for CRE for a little over a year and as soon as my obligation to them was fulfilled I moved on. The bottom line is this...if you can get the company paid training, put up with the low pay and first year hassles without any major incidents then you can blow those Popsicle stands and find a better paying gig/company...but you have to pay your dues first. You might also consider sending out apps to other companies while you are training, but make darn sure you have that hard copy CDL in your possession before you move on.
