Loading on the farms is generally pretty good. Off loading at elevators and processors can be excruciating. Two to three hour line ups are not uncommon.

It's not all bad. Just some days are like that. Other days you are in and out in under twenty minutes. Six minutes is the fastest I got loaded including the paperwork.

What the pay like profit margin for a owner op to haul grain and fertilizer?

Grain rates aren't to great right now. Depending on what kind of trailer you are using end dump vs hopper and finding loads to bring back to the area you are loading to take to the terminals is the trick. I run a hopper, but plan on putting a wet kit on my truck so I can pull our dump and hopefully find some loads going both ways so I'm not running empty 1/2 the time.
