Last time one of their trucks came through, the guy did a 6 mile circle off duty, legitimately drove 6 miles at 3-4mph on public roads forcing others go to around him.

Any how another one of the trucks showed up so I got curious and looked at their saferscore page.

If theyre in a not authorized status, does that mean they cant haul freight?

Sounds like he was doing the elog creep trying not to bump the drive line and move the truck while off duty or sleeper to finish off a split or not use any of his drive time.

Wild, a few hours ago it was just red saying not authorized.

Now it's saying, authorized. Maybe the site bugged?

Imo, 6 miles is quite the stretch off duty on elogs.

    Paper is a different story.

The problem with that is the GPS tracking will show a different location with no drive time between, unless he ended up at the exact same place.

You are correct and drivers still do it. It's a daily discussion at my company with drivers. You would be surprised how few understand just how much data the ELD devices collect and DOT can see on a inspection or audit.

TB John and Moosetek13 Thank this.
