The unit I drive was in the shop the for PM. 27 hr ffrom write-up til out of shop. nothing new there. I backed it out of the bay, parked and went to bed at 2230, hoping to be up early Thanksgiving morning to get home to OK. I was awakened an hour later by the 2nd shift shop super, beating on the door and shouting for me to shut it down. It turned out the mech who did the job forgot the minor detail of the gasket on the fuel filter. Even at idle, the fuel had gone awol, forming a two-foot wide trail going downhill behind the truck for 50 feet.Once again, the GP shop delivers...
They fixed the fuel filter, and got busy with the speedy-dry. The shift boss washed the truck himself and apologized for his guy's error. He's one of two qualified techs GP has.![]()
