Looks like Denzil isn't recruiting here at GPT anymore? Looked on his cb page and he mentioned he's fully retired. That sucks. Last I knew he was on vacation, he mentioned to me when I was up there at the yard he was going down to Texas for a while.

Yeah, he must've got all that warm weather riding down in Texas and decided "screw it, I'm gonna ride full time".I dont blame the guy. He was already partially retired from holland so I kind of figured it was only a matter of time before he decided to settle down.

Been awfully quiet here and on the holland forums, headed back to Nevada, plenty of time which is good because I got to the NM state line, and started get cab markers flickering on & off. Stopped for a couple of hours for the fun to come up, no way am I going to mess with that POE at night with suddenly bad lights....I'm wondering if water got into one of the sockets, had a really nasty storm last night in Amarillo (the way the can was rocking back and forth I thought it was a twister!!), and not the best night's sleep due to my tossing & turning(I don't know which is worse,, my brain or that storm hahaha)resulting in the CPAP machine got pulled off its shelf, and wound up spending the last 2 hours before taking off checking the hose and machine for damage, I think it's going to be one of those days.

Hope you guys won't let this thread die. It really is helpful to drivers thinking about hiring on to read your updates. I talked to Mike Holland Friday seems like a nice guy who cares about his drivers.

Great people here, as of this Wednesday delivery, I'll have over 12,000 miles in the first 31 days I've been here. Also this weekend marks my first ever trip (both dh and loaded)over Donner pass. Quite and interesting stretch of road lol
highwayman and mushroom1464 Thank this. -
Donner isn't bad going East. I'm guessing you went into Cali empty and came out loaded?

Well, got done doing a 2 stopper in Reno... Nothing preplanned since I was up against my 14, so went over to get the wagon sprayed out, and into the peelot next door. Tried out the little casino they had in there(first time for me... I've resisted the gambling bug my whole life, but I figured, wth, put a couple of dollars in a machine an see what happens.... Walked out with a stupid grin on my face and the wallet a bit fatter lol.. Hoping to get my hands on one of those "go pro" cameras, maybe with a windshield mount, and the helmet mount kits, I can do so filming while I'm on the road and when out riding. Finally got around to putting my home time request in, got approved for a big weekend so I can get my DOT physical done(shudder), get the bike inspected, and hopefully get a couple of good days of riding in.
spectacle13 and mushroom1464 Thank this.
