    Marivel Perez (from Texas) turns out to be an independent recruiter. She told me Great Wide would pay me $2.40/mile, loaded and empty, to pull a reefer. Of course I asked how they can do that. Said she, when you have your own freight you keep what the broker would take...

    It's a LIE, people. But I waited three weeks, as they ponderously dotted every friggin' i and crossed every t, then finally approved me, only to tell me I would clear $2,000 a week.

    I can see how this would work - after they drag their feet for three weeks the o/o get desperate for some money, soooo...

    Wow Landstar took about 3 weeks to approve my App and yet I wasn't desperate for money because I actually kept my old job til the app was approved.That ones on you.

    Just on the face of it what that recruiter told sounds like such a load of bull #### hard to believe anyone would fall for it. Really doesn't even make sense or add up the way you explain it either.

    I"m gonna second that...............The broker gets you work and they don"t get paid.....? I think if that were the case every o.o. on the planet wants that guy......just sayin.....
