Green River Tunnels I-80 WY

Negative.

 

They had I 80 closed at Laramie all the way to the accident scene. They reopened it and they’re just diverting traffic. Both directions through the town of Green River

 

The tunnel is still closed though...

 

Never was particularly crazy about that stretch of I-80. Not because of the tunnels,but the fact that after you exit them that there are drop offs on either side,no matter which direction you’re heading,even more so around winter time when you have to worry about snow and ice.

 

I’m guessing that both tunnels will be closed for months. Unfortunately it takes accidents to happen for the repair/rebuild of the current infrastructure.

 

used to live in Green River in the 70's and commuted thru there on my motorcycle.

never saw anything like that!
