Whats up creatures of the night (or day) whatever shift your on...
Just want to introduce myself since I've never created an account for this site, but always lurked for info on things. Got my CDL in 2018 from good ol C.R ENGLAND truck driving school! My driving career has been at a stand still since 2021. A utility truck ran into the passenger side while i was driving for Crete carrier. Just a bunch of BS. Anyway companies want accident free for 3 or more years and also a year of recent driving. This year will be 5 years. When i did apply to jobs that say 3 years of no accidents it's almost always 5 or 7 years accident free they're looking for. It's been a pain these past years. Hopefully my driving career isn't completely cooked. I've never had a DUI or DWI. Just that ONE ####### that ran into me screwed it all up for the most part. Idk, this turned into a introduction then to venting my frustration all in one.
Greetings!

Welcome aboard, you came to the right place. We've had a lot of response in this area, many good drivers sidelined for a number of reasons, basically it's because, you are a number on a data base with a red flag, and have little, if any chance, of explaining yourself. However, as the great Bob Dylan wrote, "these times they are a changin", ( recorded in 1964) and companies , from what I gather here, are beginning to review records on a more personal basis. These morons, more accurately, the old farts, are being replaced by modern, normal thinking people, and are finally figuring out, there are plenty of good drivers being overlooked. I say, go to these places, IN PERSON, introduce yourself, and above all, keep your mouth shut! Be prepared, however, you may be driving tomorrow.
