    mirrors are SUCH an inconvenience...

There was another video of a guy pulling little doubles (I think) and he's draggin' some car down the road until somebody pulls up along side of him and gets his attention...

I would think the plume of smoke from the tires of the car would have been a indication.

From the number of bumpers I've seen, missing, hanging off or just plain damaged, a lot of today's drivers don't see much of anything, c'mon.

ISP reports driver to get out of vehicle on his own, asks for tp right away, seen waddling to trees. Just wonder how many gears driver had to drop to keep speed up once that car became lodged under.

Well I do not own or otherwise drive a volvo, but am not sure the make of truck makes a truck driver better or not. lol
I never timed it but probably have driven a half mile many times without looking in the mirror. I would hope I felt something like a car getting hung up, but if not, well, lets go for a ride. lol

Back in the day, drivers used to have something called a cb, and used them, when something like this happened the driver would have known if another truck had seen it, right away.

A half mile is not very far. Stopping too fast in a situation like that would certainly have the potential to make that bad situation much worse. The last thing the Mustang driver needs now is to ride out a panic stop.

    Quoted from the article:
"ISP says that the truck driver kept going after the crash because he was unaware of the Mustang under his truck"
Wtf? Had to have put some drag on the whole thing. Was that a CRE?
