    this really scared the crap out of me. i was driving on RT20 loaded with 55K lbs of milk. i had a 53' van tractor trailer tailgate me for several miles. i do not drive slow and usually average around 60 mph but i am loaded so hills do slow me down a little. there is a fairly steep hill on RT20, i had built up some momentum to pull the hill. once we start going up the hill guy decides to pass me, i am doing at least 60 at this point. he gets along side of me and a couple of seconds later another 53' crests the hill. he got around me barely avoiding a head on collision. i nearly crapped my pants and im sure the guy in the other lane (where he belongs) probably did crap his pants. he was driving like an ### and should go to the nearest DMV and turn it in. people make mistakes, but that was a fine example of road rage and there is no place for the. especially in a CDL vehicle (of any type)

    Once he got by you, did you have to push him up the road or did he ease out of sight?

    I would have slowed down WAY BEFORE it became ^^^ that issue, and LET HIM PASS ME THEN, when he FIRST started tailgating you, probably before the hill. Especially pulling a tank. I drove'em for years in the past, and that's a perfect time to 'un'rev' the engine...drop a gear or two, for my OWN safety.

    You would've been caught UP in that mess, had there been one. Just my two cents;
    Carry on.

    I agree, wat a idiot, but if somebody is right on my back bumper i cancel the cruise or let off fuel and coast it out til they get off of me . i dont play them games anymore. Going up a hill dont wanna lose ur momentum but i think its still best to back off a little and just avoid that situation entirely even when its not ur fault. That guy is an idiot and dont worry that #### will catch up to him . he can only drive like a dip for so long before hes at the bottom of a mountain on his roof

    He might be saying the same about you, impeding his pass.

    why would you pass a truck that's already doing 60? its not like i was impeding his travel. the respectful thing to go is keep proper distance behind the loaded truck. loaded truck slows you slow, he will speed up again when gravity allows. so you get to the destination 5 minutes later. you will live

    When I was pulling tanks, (asphalt, non'baffled but not milk) if ANYONE would be tailgating me, I'd drop'er down and let them carry on with their pass. Five minutes is nothing in the 'speck' of time we call life.
