Had a dot physical

    Had a dot physical passed,whet to DMV paid 11.00 dollars.Took medical card good for 1 year.Doctor office calls me 4 days later failed eye exam,need to git glass,come back pay full physical, and go back to DMV repay 11.00 dollars again, can they make me do it all over again.Have medical card on fill with DMV good for one year.State of Tx charge 11.00,cut your driver card issue a new one.each state is different the way then charge fees.DOT physical in Tx coast 125.00 to 150,00 per visit.Not including the time wasted at doctor office,and DMV.

    Never heard of that; pass the DOT physical, then 4 days later, doctor calls to say you failed.

    Me either. Or having to pay to get my med card registered with the dmv.

    Indiana registers the med card for free.
    And the physical only costed 50 bucks. And none of the weight lifting or sleep apnea crap with that doc

    It's a new national thing. And if you don't do it by a certain time they send you a letter stating your license will be downgraded to a regular license by said date.

    I scan my medical card and email it to Tx DPS CDL Division and receive a confirmation email back, all free, good for 2 yrs....as for doctor reneging on the exam 4 days later? Never heard of that.....

    In Texas, if you're within I believe 10 days of your previous medical card expiring, they make you pay a fee for expedited service so that your license doesn't get downgraded. That's probably what happened here.
