    I've been wanting to come up here to deliver with my step for awhile just to check things out.

    Some things are a bit different.
    Better buddy up!:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25522:

    Others things are the same. Better not put a Williston mark up on my Little Debbies :biggrin_25510:

    Little town of Williston is very dirty. Some drivers come close to have accidents in the Loves parking lot due to nothing more then laziness and stupidity. I see only 5 vans in the parking lot of 100 or so trucks. There may be 6 flats and steps here. Nice view in all directions.

    I checked the area out online a year and a half ago and decided I would pass on the Brakkin scene. Maybe if housing comes down (yea right) I might give it a try.

    But, for now, I am looking for a load out of here first thing tomorrow morning. If I end up staying another day, is there some place in town where I can park and be in walking distance to a decent bar & grill? I could use a steak and a few beers :)

    We had a bunch of loads coming out of a 300 miles radius for the last few days. But nothing today. Many of the loads never make it to the board. They were paying $1.50 to $2.34. Too bad I don't have a passport yet :biggrin_25511:

    They built a Loves since I went through there 2 years ago. It was dirty and a mess to drive through then.

    highway bar grill and the hard ride are good but they are in alexander. The outsider in willingston ain't bad but there is a bar on every corner. I haul feeders through there pretty often.

    I wouldn't go up there it's not worth it! Last month I got a load out of Laredo to Minot ND for $4000 I thought great! As soon as I delivered and started looking for loads I saw why they paid so good. I ended up going home 1000 miles empty after waiting 2 days for a load!

    Last I heard bnsf was brokering all the Bobcat loads. Rates were absolutely laughable last time I checked.

    I know you're gone Blind but if you get up there again park at the truckstop next to Walmart on 2. There are some hotels to the sw of Walmart. One of them has an excellent bar and grill next to it. I can't remember the name of it but you can't miss it.
