Anyone heard any recent things about Harris Trucking Madison Heights, VA? I searched the forum and haven't found anything recent about them. What areas do they run, is it east coast runs, or do they go all over? I know they run International Prostar's and some older 9200/9400's as I see them all the time on I-81 travelling back and forth from truck driving school in Roanoke, VA. What's their pay like for a student coming on board? Will I see decent miles or will I struggle to hit 2000?

They run a lot of NE... mainly NE. Paper out of Riverville & Big Island with scrap coming back down. Last I heard they start you off around 35 cents. I hear it's a good company but 47K paper loads on the regular doesn't tickle my fancy

Are you at CDS or whatever school it is out of the community college? If so, ask the head trainer John about his love for big women.

Well i have been with harris for 2 years and they treat me very well i always get 2800 or more every week and home evweyevery weekend no questions ask. They start students at 32 than after 90 days you go to 35 and top out at 42. The management is decent it could be better and the safety man is a dick because he used to be a va state police. But they know every driver by name and if you want to run hard they will pour it on you they just have alot of sorry drivers and drivers that constantly wrecking trucks or getting dot violation so do your job and they will take care of you. Hope this post helps
